Young and Hungry Arts Trust is celebrating its 18th Birthday with another sweet-as festival season at BATS Theatre.
With the 2012 Mayan end of the world nigh, its survival of the fittest with three plays about outwitting, outplaying and outlasting competition!

Shoot’n'Share gadget generation beware – a photo is a photo is a photo… until it’s not. . A group of five girls, some “cool”, some not – find themselves in the confines of the principals office. Little do they know, the motley crew are about to be given the third degree by ‘indie’ Finlay, the Tecol-fresh Media Studies teacher, whose ‘Dead Poet Society’ dreams and off-the-curriculum assignment has gone pear shaped resulting in the abrupt departure of a student from roll call.
Gameplan

A group of four broke gamer friends search for a victimless crime in order to finance their trip to the World Cyber Games in Korea. They plot to rob a pawn and cash loan centre in the belief that they are only run by thieves and loan sharks. Once they get under way they find that they are out of their depth both physically and emotionally and that real life violence is a very different proposition to video game violence.

Nothing out-of-the-ordinary ever happens at Wellington’s prestigious Arrowhead High School, and that’s just the way Tracey Aldridge, the ambitious head photographer for Arrowhead’s student newspaper, doesn’t like it. But when arrogant new student Daniel Ward barrels into Tracey’s life with wild claims of murders and cover-ups within Arrowhead’s student body, Tracey is thrust into an investigation where the money shot could come at a steep price…
