About Y&H and the Role

Young and Hungry Arts Trust (Y&H) supports young and emerging creatives into the world of the performing arts.  We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic person to come onboard to manage the delivery of our core programmes, and manage the day to day running of  the Trust,  ensuring we continue to build on our proud tradition of providing unique performing arts experiences for young people.

This is an exciting opportunity to further your interest in youth arts by becoming involved with one of New Zealand’s most innovative arts organisations.

This fixed term position is for 2 days a week (15 hours), initially through to the end of December 2020 and then fulltime (40 hours) until the end of July 2021. If you are looking for a rewarding role with flexible working hours, please talk to us about this great opportunity.

Some of the skills we are looking for include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships
  • Good knowledge of the arts sector (including the Wellington theatre scene)
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Knowledge of arts funding and donor management
  • Experience in reporting to funding agencies
  • Ability to contribute to profit and loss reports and budgets
  • Ability to self-motivate and take ownership
